With so many new gadgets and pieces of technology being introduced today, it isn’t surprising to know that many of these new gadgets and devices are geared toward safety in the workplace. 

Building one-of-a-kind products and rooms is what we are passionate about, but safety is always our top priority.

JT Unique is on the forefront of technology when it comes to tracking safe behavior while in the shop. Wearable safety devices are now being introduced and tested in many markets and have the ability to track and monitor many behaviors from slips, trips, and falls to air quality and decibels of sound. These devices are compact and have the ability to track things that would normally take several bulky devices to do! 

One such company on the forefront of creating wearable safety devices is Iowa-based startup MākuSafe Corp. The MākuSafe wearable safety device is designed to decrease workplace injuries by tracking working conditions. Sensors track temperature, sound levels, humidity, and more, while also tracking when someone trips or falls. Tracking when an accident almost occurred is just as critical to preventing accidents. Just like safety glasses and ear plugs, products like MākuSafe, can be worn as part of a worker’s protective equipment.
